Before you embark on the TechUp journey, you will need to prepare the use of several tools that will allow you to participate in the programme. Please read through this section and ensure that you have the following prepared before commencing the programme.
Your agency should have informed you of the claim process for the platform costs associated with TechUp.
You will be using these tools to create a web app. Please register accounts for:
In this programme, we will mainly use Slack as our main mode of communication. Please read the for step by step instructions on how to setup the correct Slack channels to participate in the course.
You will be using Github and Github Codespaces for storing and editing code. Please read the for step by step instructions.
(Note: Use the create using GitHub option) You will be using Render as hosting to deploy your web app into cyberspace! Please read the for step by step instructions on how to setup and deploy a web app.
You are highly encouraged to download the Google Chrome browser () if you haven’t done so already, as the developer tools work much better with Chrome than with Safari or Internet Explorer. Please also ensure that the computer you are using has administrator permissions to download additional software as needed during the TechUp programme.
